Safety Protocols & Procedures

CLIENT MANAGEMENT & YOUR BOOKING PROCEDURE

We continue to follow the guidelines of WorkSafe BC and the Beauty Council Of BC.

WHAT TO EXPECT DURING YOUR APPOINTMENT

Your therapist will wash their hands before and after each session.

POST APPOINTMENT

You will be given the opportunity to wash your hands again prior to leaving the treatment room.

Your therapist will walk you out to the reception desk to cash out.

ENHANCED CLEANING

Additional time will be taken in between each client to ensure thorough disinfection procedures are followed. We have provided a checklist in each room for the therapist to follow.

We use hospital grade, Virucidal cleaning agents on every surface.

We change our linen in between each client and it is all laundered in hot soapy water. We use single use items were possible.

The bed and pillow are wiped down after each client. We have replaced our pillowcases with antimicrobial vinyl so they can be disinfected after use.

We will wipe down with Vericidal cleaners, every bottle or surface touched such as counters, containers, light switches, door knobs, beds, and stools.

STAFF MANAGEMENT

Our entire team has taken additional sanitization courses to ensure we are up to date with health standards.

Our team will check in the night prior to your appointment to confirm they are not experiencing any illness, or COVID symptoms.

Our staff are required to get tested for COVID if they show symptoms.

Our team has been thoroughly trained on all new procedures and protocols.

WHAT IS THE CANCELLATION POLICY?

We require 24 hours notice to cancel or change your appointment to avoid 100% charge of the scheduled service.

WHAT ARE YOUR SPA BOOKING POLICIES?

We require a credit card number to reserve all spa appointments. We require 24 hours notice to change or cancel your appointment in order to avoid a 100% service charge.

Please read your email confirmations as they clearly explain our location. We are located inside the Village Centre Pan Pacific, Not the Mountain Side Pan Pacific.

DO YOU HAVE RMT’S?

We currently do not have any RMT’s on staff.  RMT’s are Registered Massage Therapists who hold valid licenses in B.C. and are able to provide receipts for medical reimbursement.  At this time none of our staff are RMT’s.

DO YOU OFFER PRE-NATAL MASSAGE?

We do not offer pregnancy massage at this time.

WHAT TYPE OF MASSAGE/FACIAL SHOULD I RESERVE?

Our therapists will customize your massage or skin treatment to suit your needs. You simply choose the treatment length and we will take care of the rest. If you require a deep tissue or sports massage upgrade, we will need to know in advance.

WHAT IS THE ADDED BENEFIT OF HOT STONE MASSAGE?

Hot stone massage is a highly effective tool used to create warmth deep within the muscles. The added benefit of the heat promotes a deeper state of relaxation and muscle tension relief. We use hot stones for 5 – 10 minutes on the back, for all of our massages of 60 min or longer.

IS THERE A CHANGING/LOCKER ROOM SO I CAN ARRIVE EARLY AND USE THE FACILITIES?

Yes, we do have a small change room in the spa area with lockers and showers. For groups of 2 people or more, we may need you to share a locker. We can provide each person with a locker, a robe, slippers and towels – this is complimentary when you book a massage or a facial.

CAN WE HAVE OUR MASSAGE IN OUR HOTEL ROOM?

No – unfortunately we do not offer en-suite massage at this time.

We offer a professional environment and your therapist reserves the right to refuse or terminate any service, without refund, if inappropriate language or actions occur.

Your skin is unique and your skin treatment should reflect your personal skin care needs. Your skin therapist will customize your facial to help you achieve your healthiest skin ever! Simply choose your treatment time and let us to the rest.

I AM CONFUSED ABOUT SKIN CARE AND DO NOT EVEN KNOW WHERE TO START. CAN YOU HELP ME?

Yes! We would love to offer you a complimentary skin analysis from one of our professional skin therapists. We will prescribe complimentary Dermalogica samples for you to try out at home. Reserve your FREE skin analysis here.

WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT FROM MY BRAZILIAN WAX?

We specialize in Brazilian waxing at Whistler Day Spa so you are in expert hands. We use both hard wax and strip wax depending on the sensitive areas being treated. You should expect your wax to be clean, quick, and as comfortable as we can make it for you. Your hair needs to be minimum 1 cm/¼ inch long. If it is any longer we suggest trimming before your appointment. We also suggest exfoliating 1 day prior to your treatment to allow for better waxing results.

CAN YOU CUSTOMIZE SPA PACKAGES?

Absolutely! Simply contact us and we would be happy to arrange a customized package to suit your needs.

CAN YOU ACCOMMODATE LARGE GROUPS?

We are a smaller spa operation, so we recommend that if you have a large group to speak with our receptionist directly. We only have three treatment rooms, so we can only accommodate three people at a time.

WHAT IF I HAVE TO CHANGE MY APPOINTMENT?

We require a 24 hour notice to change a reservation. We require a credit card number to confirm all reservations. Should you not provide us with the required 24 hour notice you will be charged 100% of the payment. We value your time and it’s important that you value ours. Please honor this reservation guideline.

WHAT IS THE MINIMUM AGE AT YOUR SPA?

Generally our minimum age for a massage is 16 years old. However, some of our bodyworkers and estheticians are comfortable providing treatments for other ages if requested. Please contact our spa’s receptionist for more information.
